Bangkok Red Light Districts
The Safari Bar located within Patpong Soi 1 is one of Bangkok's oldest bars. From the outside it definitely looks dated but looks can be deceiving as I found out when ventured inside for the first time. I was expecting a run done old sleazy bar! What I found was a well maintained and clean bar with a good atmosphere.
The Safari Bar Is long and narrow but a good size. There are two dance floors … One is on the LHS facing the tables and the other dance floor is against the back wall. Tonight it is the latter that is in operation with four dancers on stage. Two would be mid 20's and the other two in their late 30's. One of the older dancers was stunning … What a hot body fit and lean!!!

When I entered the music was Country and Western but moved along nicely to The Rolling Stones, Doors, Beatles then finally Elvis was playing by the time I left. People can dance in front of the 2nd stages. Some of the older bargirls who really do know how to get it on with the older guys. I thought one guy was going to drop but he survived.
Apart from the Two dancers in their 20's which no one was interested in … HA HA. There were around 10 bargirls inside from late 30's and into their 40's. Four of them I thought owe yeah!! I would barfine them … some of these women have really looked after themselves.
The prices at the Safari Bar are good with a Tiger Beer costing 120 Baht. They have a sense of humor when it comes to the barfine price which is set at 699 Baht. There is a real safari theme going on with thousands of flowers stuck to the ceiling and the Zebra looking frontage.
If you want to get away from the regular gogo bars with the thumping music just ‘boom, boom, boom’ then check out the Safari Bar with their super clean bar, interesting theme and friendly staff makes for a very enjoyable night out in Patpong.
Safari Bar Patpong … 6/10.
