Bangkok Red Light Districts
The mystery is over as I have finally been inside Bangkok Beat which is located opposite the Nana BTS Station and only a short walk along Sukhumvit Soi 7/1, open from 9pm until 3am. I really was surprised when I opened their sliding doors, they’re are busy. The band is loud but good with a male and female singer who both kept the songs rolling along just nicely. I headed to the bar and got a local beer for 150฿. My only gripe is they don't sell Tiger Beer. NOW CLOSED!
Inside Bangkok Beat
Bangkok Beat has the feel of a bar / pub in Australia with a live band where you could head out with the hope of picking up a chick. Here it’s just like that as the women inside are customers just the same as the guys. So at least you can try chatting the women up and see where it takes you. Not like the bars along Nana Soi 4 where you know they’re bargirls, she will go with you at a price plus you will have to pay a barfine. At least here it’s a more enjoyable way of getting a woman for the night, it may take some skill but not much since this is Bangkok.
Now obviously a vast majority of women inside could be freelancers which shouldn't be too hard to figure out if you ask the right questions when you’re chatting them up, like what job do you do? If they have a job well I’d take that as, they’re not a freelancer and just run with it.
Bangkok Beat has a good atmosphere as there is a good mix of females amongst the guys and it’s so cool that you can stand and have a drink at one of the tables.
Top Floor of Bangkok Beat
If you want to get away from the ground floor action then just head upstairs where you can have a game of pool. There are 2 good sized pool tables. You can still see and hear the band just head over by the railing and watch the action from above.
If you are out and about especially on a Friday or a Saturday night and would like a change from the gogo bars then Bangkok Beat is a cool spot to spend your night out.
Bangkok Beat 6/10.
